The Butler Project

Here you can view Our Journal or the Butler Project Picture Gallery.

This project is a partnership between Kids' Own and the Butler Gallery to celebrate 10 years of The Butler Gallery's Solas children's programme. The programme will create a publication by children that makes us think about and question art more. As part of our process of making this book, we think that it is important for us all to understand first what we think about art.

Kids' Own and the children spent two days back in September 2009 thinking about how we would work together, we came up with a lot of ideas one of those ideas was to interview and meet some of the artists that are exhibiting in the gallery and meet with some of the artists that are in The Butler Gallery Collection. It is a very exciting way for us all to learn and question together, it is also very exciting not knowing where this journey will lead us. This journal is going to be a place where we will share our thoughts and experiences to each other and to the wider public.

All our video is hosted on Vimeo, below are just some of the Questions we have asked the artists so far.
